My idea has gone through countless iterations until now; this post will describe and finalise it.
9/11
As stories go, 9/11 is one of the biggest around. I shall find a well-documented, official version of it and transform the beginning into an interactive chapter.
My idea revolves around the ability to move anywhere in time and across time in parallel. For example, I knew from talks, that non-linearity was an interesting concept which can enhance a users experience; Kerry from Littleloud spoke about this.
The main choice for picking 9/11 was due to my interest in exploring a non-linear storyline. I want the user to be able to jump from one aeroplane to another and be able to find out what's happening on it at the same place in time.
Additionally, I shall use embedded media in the form of photographs, video clips and audio (vocal material) to further improve interactivity and emotional immersion.
The concept is based around multiple timelines, which user will instantly know how to manipulate - time is understood from a young age. I will deepen this argument in my next post about audience.
