So, I've had a few days to gather further inspiration, and I keep returning to this piece I found during my initial research; it's thouroughly unique and would fill a 3D space. Unlike the interactive display, I like the fact it can be built with cubes and arranged in different ways.

I decided to sketch a few structures using blocks to expand on the idea and to see what flowed from my head. I thought that, perhaps, a block could represent a piece of content from the Coutts archive and it could react when touched. I like the idea of dull 'bricks' surrounded by glowing, interactive, ones.
As I plan to build the installation, to film and present it, I want to find out how feasable it is to register touches on an arbitrary surfaces. I know just the person to ask!
